Chef de partie duties and responsibilities:

– A Chef de Partie runs a specific section in a kitchen while supervising junior members of the Kitchen Team,

– Prepares in advance food and beverage material and equipment needed for the service,

– Ensures adequacy of supplies at all times,

– Places orders on time,

– Manages ingredients that should be frequently available daily,

– Cooks and serves dishes according to the restaurant’s menu and the directions of the Executive and the Sous chef,

– Provides direction to the Junior members of the kitchen team (Kitchen helpers, including Commis, Cooks, Kitchen Attendants, and Stewards),

– In the absence of the Superior, conducts shift briefings to ensure hotel activities and operational requirements are known,

– Conducts inventory and performs other administrative tasks,

– Performs other assigned duties,
